When Spopovitch and Yamu provide Babidi with the energy, he kills them off. Pocus has the luxury of killing off Yamu, and he did so by firing off a ki blast. This ki blast definitely looked unamplified, as he literally fired it in an instant. Now we may say that Pocus himself could not be sensed, but what about his attack? Maybe the Z-Senshi/Kaioshin were able to sense his blast, which is what led them to conclusions about his power.

Doesn't matter since they saw him do it. |

What do you mean? I'm saying maybe they sensed his blast so they could tell how strong he was. |

They could see the blast and judge from that. If magic can conceal a fighter's power, it can conceal everything. The blast was most likely unsensible. |

I think a visual estimate would've been enough to guess how strong he was. Vegeta was able to conclude simply by watching Dabra's movements that he could beat him. There definitely seems to be more to estimating someone's abilities than simply sensing their ki. |

I would agree agree but Pocus didn't move ever. He just stood there for awhile, fired a beam, and walked back into the ship. @Emmeth: Then where does their confidence come from? |

but anyone can fire off a weak generic ki blast if goku fired a weak one could someone determine his power solely based on that one weak blast? if so wouldnt the conclusion be that hes fodder material? so im not sure if its a very good determiner for power; judging one by a weak ki blast however if it were an amped blast that had some power in it then thats more likely |

They are Saiyans. Do I need to explain myself further? |

Yes, yes you do. It is out of character for Vgeta to begin a battle in base, unless he knows he can win using it. He couldn't sense the Androids but he never tried fighting them in Base. |

Kaioshin already told them not to use too much energy, didn't he? Surely, being careful would apply even to Vegeta. |

I would assume the opposite. He doesn't want them to have energy taken away, meaning they should fight in their stronger forms. |

But exerting that much power is a high risk-factor. Wouldn't it be better to feel out your opponent and take action gradually? |

They could've guessed it by the speed of his blast. You don't see a whole lot of fighters who are above Ginyu level who hold their wrist while firing, which Pocus did. For all we know, they could've seen that as a novice move. We also need to consider that Dabra was quite clearly the strongest under Bobbidi's control based in his position in the hierarchy. Kaioshin confirms this. Vegeta himself concluded that he could beat Dabra, so it's possible that they simply didn't see Pocus as a threat. |

Ketchup brings up a fair point. They all saw Dabra kill Kibito. Vegeta is a tactical genius and a keen spotter. He could deduce from Dabra's attack that he could defeat him. |

It's because their Base Power makes Android 18 look like common rabble. They have no concerns about fighting in Base until shown otherwise. They think this whole Kaioshin stuff is a joke and Badibis top guy pales in comparison to their own Super Saiyan power. In lamer terms, " They ain't never scared " |
